Hello my name is Sally Stobbs and I run Happy Hearts! Welcome to a fantastic childminding Service for the residents of Trispen, Truro and all the surrounding areas in Cornwall! I offer experienced, quality childcare for all children aged between 0 and 14 years old, five days a week. I provide extremely attentive, sensitive care to children ensuring they are at all times, secure, happy, stimulated and comfortable in their surroundings!
I specialize in caring for 0-5 year olds providing them with the benefits of all the fun, exciting activities and early years foundation stage curriculum that nurseries offer but on a far more personal level as children will receive consistent one-to-one attention whilst enjoying interaction with other children of various ages. I complete beautiful learning journals for your child and observe and assess them in all the areas of their development to help prepare them for school.
I have in-depth knowledge of child development and health promotion, including a genuine love and passion for working with children and giving them a fun and caring start in life.
I am 34 years old, I live with my two children a boy and a girl aged 9 and 7. We have 3 cats, Wes, Millie and Socks and an extremly loving, friendly and gentle king Charles Cavillier dog called Jack. I have full CRB/DBS disclosure. My certificates are displayed in the front lobby.
I live in a lovely new house in Trispen (just on the outskirts of Truro, a 5-10 minute drive away) with its own private car park for drop off and pick ups! Parking should never be a problem. We are also on the main bus route for all those who do not drive.
I have a very secure, happy home which is full of fun, love and lots of giggles. I absolutely adore being able to do something I love whilst still being able to fit it around my own family. I consider myself extremely lucky and privileged to be able to work with children, seeing them grow, develop and blossom into well-adjusted boys and girls.
I am extremely loving, caring and friendly childminder who is fully Ofsted registered, insured and qualified. I am also a member of the National Childminding Association PACEY.
I am happy to care for children who have special needs, disabilities or have any medical conditions. Wherever necessary we will seek advice and attend training courses on your child's special need or condition until we are 100% confident that we will give them the best possible care.
I am passionate about providing every child in my care with a fun, stimulating and safe environment to play and learn. I feel that my experience of being a working mummy (and using childcare muself) enables my childminding service to give children and parents an excellent childcare solution.
My weekday sessions work out at just £4.20 per hour so affordable not forgetting you can also claim up to 80% of your childcare costs back from your tax credits!! I accept childcare vouchers too and government funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds!
My aim is to make my childminding service flexible for parents. I am happy to discuss your requirements with you at any time. My core working hours are 7am until 6pm although I can offer childcare outside of these times if you wish.
I also offer childminding for one off, occasional sessions that are needed (depending on availability and subject to my registered numbers) and evenings- even at short notice and without the need to be contracted to any sessions per week! Simply register your child with Happy Hearts and ring me when you need childcare! School holiday childcare cover is also available.
About My Happy Little Home
My house is super safe for babies, toddlers and children of all ages. I do daily risk assessments and safety checks. Children are allowed the run of my whole house and will be supervised at all times. I have a designated play room that is welcoming for the children. It has educational posters on all the walls, a chill out area with soft chairs and beds, a reading corner full of hundreds of books, a play house pretend wooden kitchen, generally a great space for them to play and explore. I will do most of the messy play activities such as arts, crafts, play dough and baking downstairs in our spacious kitchen.
Children are given ample opportunity to be active and enjoy outside play as we have a very large enclosed back garden. We grow all our own fruit and vegetables here at happyhearts and use them in our cooking and gardening activities!
Before your child starts attending childcare sessions we will discuss both your needs as a parent and also your child’s specific needs. We will work together to make the transition period as positive as possible for everyone! Your child’s development will be encouraged with activities tailored to their individual needs. In depth verbal feedback about your child’s day will be given to you on collection along with written daily contact slips to take home. Information such as sleep times, nappies/potty usage, meals, achievements and activities are included. Your views and information regarding your child are encouraged daily.
Principles of healthy eating and healthy lifestyle will be followed with children in my care. All food provided by myself will be healthy and nutritionally balanced and homemade wherever possible. All meals and snacks are cooked using quality ingredients, dietary needs will be catered for and there is a policy and procedure in place for children with allergies.
Time is set aside every day for lots of play with a huge range of toys to stimulate the imagination, challenge the child intellectually and encourage independence in learning.
I feel the most important job in the whole world is raising children. I believe that every child is special and that they all deserve to be cared for in a warm, clean, safe, healthy, secure and loving environment. I want every parent to feel happy in the knowledge that while their children are in my care their precious little ones have been left in such an environment where they can continue to develop and grow into happy, contented and confident individuals.
If you are interested in a placement for your child here at Happy Hearts please give me a call, email or leave me a message by clicking on the contact tab at the top of this page. We can arrange a visit and tour of my home. During your visit, you will be given a Welcome Pack containing all of the policies and procedures that I have in place along with child registration, record and permission forms for you to complete and return to me if you would like to register your child. Once these forms have been returned to me we will then arrange your child’s 2 free 'settling in' sessions and then sign a contract together.
All records of children and parents are kept accurate and up to date, stored securely and kept confidential at all times.
Any questions? Please do not hesitate to ask. I am flexible with my sessions and will always try to work around your requirements and your child's individual needs
